Making brownies (help please)

Ok I have about a 1/2 oz of clippings and a food processor. Clippings are dry and shredded through the processor.

I've read a couple of methods of making brownies differently.

My fiance says someone told her to grind the clippings up into a food processor and then throw them into the brownie mix. This to me seems like a bad idea and will end up with very little potency.

I've read other methods that require you to make butter. The method I am familiar with is bringing a pot of water to a boil, melt your butter in the pot, toss your clippings in, strain out all the green matter afterwards, let water/butter mixture cool in the fridge, top layer after cooling is your cannibutter.

I'm just looking for the best way to get the most potency. If there is already a thread please point me in the direction, i used the search and couldn't really find anything.

Re: Making brownies(help please)

Also, the brownies I have call for oil and not butter, would this work?

Add the weed to the oil in a saucepan.

Cook on medium-low for 30 mins (trust me the time is worth it)

Strain out weed and use the remaining oil for the recipe

Cannabis Cooking Oil
Description: Learn how to make a cannabis cooking oil
(marijuana oil).
Cannabis cooking oil is a mixture of extracted cannabinoids
and a cooking oil. We recommend using extra virgin olive oil,
but if you prefer an oil without a taste, try using canola oil.
You can cook with cannaoil in any recipe that calls for oil.
Ingredients:
28oz (3.5 cups) extra virgin olive oil or canola oil
1oz/28g of finely ground quality marijuana (or up to 1/4 lb.
commercial grade)
Making the Cannabis Oil:
1. Pour oil into a large saucepan, preferably a double boiler .
2. Heat on a medium setting, and let it warm up.
3. Do not let the oil boil! This is very important for
making quality cannabis oil.
4. Once the oil is hot, but not boiling, you may add the
cannabis powder. We have found the best results keeping
the oil just on the edge of simmering, but not actually
simmering.
5. Stir frequently, and watch for bubbles. If the oil begins
to boil remove it from the heat until the temperature is
low again and lower the heat!
6. Continue for at least 1 hour. We suggest allowing the bud
to soak in the hot oil for about 2 hours.
7. Strain the oil through cheesecloth or a fine mesh
strainer and press to remove all oil from the cannabis
(make sure oil has cooled enough that you don't burn
yourself!) into a container.
You can use cannabis oil in place of regular oil in any recipe!
Or use on a fresh pot leaf salad! Using this method, 1 ounce
of oil (2 tablespoons) should contain the equivalent quantity
of cannabinoids found in 1 gram of marijuana. Use
sparingly, and do not start with more than one ounce of
this oil. You may eat more as needed, but wait until you
know your tolerance!
