A man has been arrested in a sting operation and police are hunting for an accomplice for drug dealing.
"The Bahraini was contacted by an undercover police officer who claimed that he was interested in buying hashish," a Public Prosecution spokesman said yesterday.
The 27-year-old agreed and met him later that day in Manama, where the exchange took place and he was arrested red-handed.
The man confessed to the charges and when police searched his apartment, they found 16 rolls of hashish in his bedroom.
The suspect, who is in custody until his case goes to court next week, claimed that he has been getting his drugs from an Asian man, said the spokesman.
