Marijuana Charges Dropped Against Butte Man

The Butte-Silver Bow County attorney's office had dropped a marijuana production charge filed against a 52-year-old Butte man who was eligible for a medical marijuana card.

Mitchell Booth was charged last October, after authorities raided his home and found a dozen mature marijuana plants.

In moving to dismiss the case, Deputy County Attorney Kelly Fivey says Booth could have used the Medical Marijuana Act as a defense against the charge, even though he was not a registered card holder.

Booth has multiple sclerosis, which would have qualified him for a medical marijuana card. Officials say after Booth's arrest, both he and his wife obtained medical marijuana cards through the Department of Public Health and Human Services.

Here in Michigan you send in your Drs refferal , along with payment and a copy of your drivers liscence...They send your card through the mail.
