Eric E. Sterling, J.D. has been President of the Criminal Justice Policy Foundation since 1989. He was Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary from 1979 to 1989.

Sanho Tree is a Fellow and the Director of the Drug Policy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C.

Judge David A. Nichols, Ret. was a Washington State Superior Court Judge for 20 years. Prior to his election as judge, his law practice focused on civil litigation.

Deborah Small, J.D. is Founder and Executive Director of Break the Chains, an organization that seeks to build a national movement within communities of color against punitive drug policies.
