FOUNTAIN, Colo. -- Jay Sanner was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. He started using pain medication, but said he suffered from liver problems, so he applied for a MMJ red card for pain relief.
He has now been fired from coaching his son's little league baseball team in Fountain Valley. Sanner has been coaching for the past seven years.
"Coloradans 4 Cannabis Patient Rights" is protesting his termination Saturday.
The protest was held at John Metcalf Park in Fountain.
