My First Grow

Thank you
She should grow 2-3 feet tall, once she's done growing up, I would flip her then.

Again this comes down to letting nature do its thing and not trying to force a situation. It's hard to judge the scale of your plant , but she looks about 6-7 cm tall in the photos.

If it were me, I would water every 4 days with 500ml water, around the 6cm radius and make the roots search out in the soil. Your soil should be rich enough to last the entire grow with the amount of manure you added.

EDIT: let's also consider nutrient lockout, the ph value of any water you add to the soil, should be between 6.1 and 6.7 ph. Slightly acidic. The plant absorbs nutes easier at this level. Anything above or below the guidelines will not be available for absorption and become "locked out"

Once she is fully formed and thriving, only then would I flip her into flower, and the npk ratio is different for flowering than first growth. With your setup though, that's not something you can worry about, but keep in mind for next time.

Think about a Rose Bush, would you try to force it to flower if it wasn't ready? What would the flowers look and smell like? Tiny and with no fragrance, which defeats the reason you grew the rose in the first place.

Just sit tight mate, love her, help her and in return she'll provide some dank home grown nugs that will help you get high, feel better and contribute to your overall wellbeing.

I hope you get my meaning, I'm not trying to be condescending, only helpful.
Thank you I know what ya mean. What is NPK ratio. I appreciate ever bit of advice as I’m learning I want to intake all Info I can. I understand the PH but I cannot do anything bout I have no means to test my water as I have started this whole thing broke as a joke wanting some smoke. Lol. Found a seed in my dankest bud in awhile when I ran outa smoke said you know what screw this im done and started growing. As I have lost my job in December and just got hired finally at a new job. Everything used for the entire setup i had already from the soil to bucket lights everything. I’ve had my water tested not long ago and it was in the area the plant strives for, that’s another reason why I Chose to even start the grow I knew from experience my water would be fine. Not saying it can’t change but hoping the best. Sorry for the late response as now all the time in world isn’t so much for me now that I’m not just sitting at home and finally working again. Will upload pics soon for the daily pictures.

Here’s some updated pics just taken. Have not watered for 2 days as of tomorrow night. Plan to water tomorrow.

Ok that looks pretty decent, starting its 3rd node and reaching for the sun. Very nice.

You know ph testing isn't crucial unless your water is really alkaline, then we might have a problem. But as luck would have it, nature provides again.
Rain water filtered through a cloth (old clean T-Shirt) is typically 6.5 ph. So if money is still a hurdle then start collecting the rain.

Theres an experiment called The Fizz Test, for testing soil.

The link talks about why ph is important, like really important. Plants like herbs, need neutral soil. Other plants need alkaline soil, but our plant needs acidic soil. Which is why we ph our water with nutes, calmag first, then test the ph to see if it needs to move up or down.
It seems like a lot of unnecessary science I know, but totally worth it.
Your local garden / DIY store should sell you a litmus test for a dollar.

Oh yeah the other thing. NPK refers to the periodic table of elements.
N- nitrogen
P- Phosphorus
K- Potassium

So to grow successfully the soil should have a NPK ratio of 3:blushsmile:1

To flower successfully the soil should have a NPK ratio of 132 because it's done growing, and now it needs a different fuel to make flowers.

And all you have to do is buy a bottle of flowering nutes to start shifting the soil in that direction, again it doesn't need to happen over night, big ships turn slowly!

It’s started on it’s 6th true leafs. I took the bottom first true nodes off in the beginning when the dried and crumbled upon touch. I cut them 2 leafs off. Here a pic so u can see what I mean the very bottom u can see where I cut.

Nicely explained btw. Your making it much more understandable. As it not hard but getting right is a bit of trick to get down pat as there is a lot of different ways and also a lot of False info on the web. It can seem overwhelming for the newb.

Cool, those first 2 leaves are literally solar panels to get the rest of the plant out. Once they've done their job they die off.

Mate no joke, I'm on day 66 of my grow and the wait is killing me. But I spend the time reading and learning, my next grow is going to be supreme.

Just talk at me (@Eirohir ) if you need anything, I'm always around.

Thank you kindly. I know what ya mean I’m not really in any hurry to be honest. I enjoy every bit of it. watching my girl grow up and just looking at her, makes the day better lol

So I have watered 1.6L relocated to bigger location. Transplanted into wider pot but lower. Added new soil and mixed it in during transplant. Also trimmed some leafs and growth off the bottom closest to soil. Just to keep all leaves a good distance above the soil.
