Mylar question

I have the opportunity to purchase some 400w hps and mh setups on the cheap. The problem is they don't come with reflective hoods. I was wondering if i could make a hood with plywood and Mylar. Any issues on melting? I read that the Mylar looses its form at 170+ degrees, dunno if this is true...

I don't want it looking all ghetto. I was thinking about simply putting a board with mylar above it and then attaching the socket housing to the board.

Don't use wood. I nearly burned my house down once putting my 400W HID too close to the ceiling of my chamber. Find a sheet of tin and bend it.

just buy a reflector off ebay or something, I wouldn't risk the possibility of burning your place down over a few dollars
