New Jersey: States With Current Medical Marijuana Initiatives Or Bills

Earlier this year, New Jersey's S119 passed a senate vote and then went on to win the votes of the Assembly Health Committee. Currently, the bill is awaiting a full assembly vote, and will then be on its way to Governor Corzine's desk. The governor has said he will sign the bill if it makes it to his desk.

If passed, S119 would allow New Jersey's sick, severe injured, and dying protection while pursuing relief from agonizing medical conditions. When a patient obtains a registry card through the program they will be allowed to possess up to one ounce of usable marijuana and grow six plants. The program will also allow the patient to have a caregiver, but the caregivers may only have one patient under the bill.

Please write to your New Jersey assembly representative to let them know you support this issue. Your voice is still needed to get this bill to final passage.
