I was thinking about planting a mother plant outside and cutting off the clones and bringing them inside to grow is this a good idea??? and if I do it should I top the Mother plant?

you can do it, but the clones you will be more likely to introduce spider mites and other pests into your grow room. topping can also be good for mothers, but it is not nessasary.

i would only take clones in vegetive state becouse while in flowering you clone has to revert back to veg. and takes time and will stress the clones just a tip!
