A New Paris man was found in possession of about 5 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a search in September, state police said.

State police in Bedford said a search of 111 Thomas Drive on Sept. 19 revealed the marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police said they responded to an active domestic incident when they found marijuana on the property upon their arrival, which led them to apply for a search warrant, which was granted.

According to court documents, Thomas Taylor, 58, of New Paris, faces charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, marijuana -- small amount personal use, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Taylor was charged Friday and arraigned, police said.
