Hello peeps,

Need to know if you can use solution for calibrating your pH-meter in your DWC reservoir, as pH upper or downer?

The reason is it's impossible buying the real stuff for hydro where I'm at, and I'm not too comfy using vinegar.

Ingredients:
For the pH 4.01 solution: Potassium Hydrogen Phthalate
For the pH 7.01 solution: Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate and Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate

Thanks in advance for any input!! :Namaste:

Hello,

I have never heard of anyone doing this mainly because they produce a specific PH when mixed in distilled water at a specific temp and are not really PH adjusters. And also I have read that the natural adjusters like vinegar and baking soda can cause crazy spikes as they break down. I would really try and purchase adjusters online if you really need them. What is the PH of your water to start out with, if it naturaly starts out between 5.5 and 6.5 and your nutes don't change it you may not need adjusters in the first place.
