Pollinating - hairs turn orange?

Hello,

I just wanted to confirm that this is correct because I am in the process of pollinating and want to make sure it's all on track, I'm trying to avoid undeveloped seeds.

Is it true that once a budding site is pollinated the hairs turn orange?

I am attempting to pollinate just a few lower branches and wanted to see if this was a good way to tell if I had done the process correctly.

EDIT: I might as well try to get all my questions answered here. :)

Is roughly day 25 the right time to pollinate or should I have waited longer before doing it?
And how long does it take for a seed to fully develop?
Sorta of a silly question but would it be right to assume white ones are not as developed as blacker ones? Or is that just a genetic thing?

Here are a few pictures of branches I did pollinate.

Here is one that I hope isn't because that would mean I didn't handle the pollen correctly.
