Poor Man's Grow With Home Depot LED Lighting

Sweet start !!! A good upgrade with a T5 200w 6500k 4tube. Great for vegging and cloning and you get a cheap one for about seventy-five bucks

The top photo the fan leaf is covered in trichrome. This species only produces about 50 grams but the quality is Top Shelf.
The second photo is the new white widow extreme that I'm cloning. Third photo is a cross between amnesia in Trainwreck Amnesia train that photo is of Clone and she's about six weeks old. The fourth photo is some purple punch it's very spicy people love the Buzz but hate that is so peppery but it smokes great.

But in the end. It comes down to what people like. And everybody comes back to number one Amnesia train. Number two white widow and white widow extreme.

14 by 14 room with crossed walkways in a center. Four 600w 2800 k. I keep the light 8 in from the top of the plant to get the most intense light. This is for the hip

For the T5 6400 k you keep your preteens clones and teens within 2 in for the most intense light

Home Depot sells a corn cob LED that I’ve been using in my small veg space, it works just fine. It’s a 300w equivalent for high bay lighting. I’ve got it plugged into a cheap work light with the aluminum reflector removed. US$39 or so for the bulb.

Just a suggestion if you want to add more light later, but want to continue the Home Depot theme. :)

What is the area of intensity. If you're running a T5 4ft by 2 foot. The area of coverage would be 2 foot by 4 foot by 8 ft 64 cubic feet of usable intense light

So what's the impact area of the light. So if you're using a 600w hip the impact area is 5 1/2 feet by 5 and 1/2 feet by 7 ft it's about 210 cubic feet. Now if you're using a 600w LED you're at two and a half by 2 and 1/2 by 3 and 1/2 which is about cubic feet of impact area

So the old hip have more than doubled impact area of the new LED

So if you're saving 30% energy and your impact area is half you're losing 10%[/
So you have a flashlight that has a million candles. It can shine across three football fields. But the impact actual usable grow light is 2 in by 2 in by 2 inch which is 8 cubic inches. My point is if I could grow with a million candle rechargeable flashlight from Home Depot I would.

Everything breaks down do A Simple Theory from a man called Albert Einstein E equals MC squared you cannot change the amount of energy used and needed

They were exactly what I was looking at , would they be ok for the whole grow , flowering included?

...you might be surprised what you can accomplish with only fluorescent lighting...I had some successful grows using them almost exclusively...we all start somewhere...;)...everything is relative of course...I've moved on to led's, and being a frugal(read cheap SOB) have have been using less popular brands with great success...looking forward to see how this goes for Ya'...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:...

Agreed. I also had a nice grow with just CFL's but I used lots of power to make it nice. I decided to go for HPS or LED because when you try to match their power using CFL's, you pay a lot for electricity :)

Ricky, thought I'd throw my two cents in here. Currently on my very first grow. Started with autos also. Have one Green Crack and one Purple Haze. Both girls doing great under cheap LED units bought off Amazon made by a company called Ygrow. These run $86 and are white LED, CCT 3500K (can't stand blurple lighting). Footprint is fairly small so I got two. Although they are sold as 600W equivalent, they only put out somewhere around 150W of usable light (about 165-170W from the wall). So far they've done a great job but I'm only in the third week of flower. Photos of the girls below taken a few days ago.
