pot size, light and misc.

Hey guys,

I have just started 2 White Widow seeds in pots that are 5 inches in diameter. After one week, they are 1.5 inch high, and they have a few leaves. I currently keep them on my balcony where the temperature oscillates between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have a closet with a 400 watts HPS light. Here are my questions:

a) When should I move them in the closet?
b) When should I transplant them in bigger pots? How big of a pot by the way?
c) Any other important recommendation that may prevent a newbie doing stupid things?

Thanks a lot,
Green Gatorade

If your night time temps drop any lower at all, bring them in. 65 is a bit on the cool side. Not that MJ can't survive, but you're slowing down growing.
How big of pots to transplant them in depends on how big you plan on letting them get. 3-5 gallons should do fine. I'd transplant w/in the next week or 2 at the latest. transplant right into the bigger pots/buckets. nothing in between. transplant once only.
You're going to risk bringing pests into your indoor grow area by keeping them outside, so be on the look out. There are pleanty of good posts here about pest control if you run into a problem.
