Medical marijuana will become a reality in Arizona, that much we know, but still to be determined is exactly how it will be regulated.

According to the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Department of Health Services is reviewing comments submitted by Valley residents as part of a three-week public-comment period that ends Friday.

The department spent about four weeks writing the 47-page draft to implement the medical-marijuana program in the state and solicited public comments. The department will have final say on the rules.

Officials will start going through all the comments Monday and then decide which ones will be incorporated into the second draft of the rules and guidelines.
