Question about QB and UV

Now I am curious if there is UV in COBS....I think there is.
i think they make uv cobs, but i dont think if you get a single, say 5000k cob or 3500k cob i dont think it gives out any effective uv that will affect the plant.
i believe the higher kelvin cob, 5000k and up, put out a negligible amount of uv from the white light they put out, but not enough again to make any real seeable difference
 
I have an older LED panel that includes six CREE COBs (2530s?) and 60 single LEDs - and the designer felt the need to also add a supplemental fluorescent UV bulb in the middle. Therefore, I'm guessing that, if there even is any UV production from the COBs, it must be minuscule.
 
uv is produced via a chemical reaction in the bulbs. uv is radiation and not light per se. Diodes are not designed to produce that chemical reaction like t5 bulbs. some led manufacturers say they offer uv in there qb but from what I understand, it isn't possible.
