Quick questions to start flowering

Hey guys just a few quick questions. I think I've read on here that it's good to give the plants a day or two of dark before changing the lights to twelve twelve. Also should I flush when starting flowering I'm growing in soil. Thanks guys.

Flushing is a yea cause the nutes from veg build up in the soil, you don't need to give the plant 24 hours or dark but you can, I've done it with no results but some say they get the pistols to show faster. Molasses unsulphured is good for the plant in soil I heard it benefits especially during flowering increases yields. I've also heard of 24-48 hours of dark before harvest, haven't seen the benefits but you can try.
