Has anyone tried red/blue LED lights for seedlings? They are supposed to grow seedlings faster than fluorescents or other lights and use very little power. I just bought a red/blue LED light bar, put it over my seedlings, but it hasn't seemed to cause any faster growth. Does anyone have any experience with red/blue LEDs? Are they better?

Since growing with LED's is still fairly new, there hasn't been too many experiments with them. As far as I've read LED's are great for seedlings and clones but make sure you have at least the 1watt LED bulbs. Until more tests are done, I'd say it does just as well as fluorescent bulbs just with lower heat and energy.
