In-home marijuana farms cropping up in the Central Valley are producing a variety more potent than any other form of marijuana on the market today, federal authorities say.

Federal agents say dozens of tract homes in the Sacramento and Stockton areas have recently been exposed as illegal marijuana growing operations.

As John Lobertini reports, drug agents say it's the work of Vietnamese gangs, and their product, "B.C. buds" as they are known, have become legend for their potency -- with a THC content three times stronger than the average pot.

This type of growing is big in British Columbia.. the RCMP is always busting home operations..

When Hong Kong was being given back to Communist China the Nationals there started fleeing to Canada and buying houses in British Columbia in the event the politics at home got really weird. The politics didn't so most returned or left their older kids behind to go to school. So here were these kids in huge houses and they decided that growing pot in them made sense. They weren't the only ones but I've read that most of the pot growing in Vancouver homes is controlled by Oriental gangs.

Got to admit, it is a pretty stealthy way to grow. Hmmmm.. could be some grow houses in your neighborhood and you'd never know.

3X as strong might be an exaggeration..
