Safe temp spread for 12/12? Do you use ambient temp?

Hello all,

I am planning a grow of a single plant and am concerned about temperature. Currently, the peak temp where my plant canopy will be is sitting at about 85. (30 C). The ambient temperature in the tent is lower...approximately 77 (25 C)

The room is quite cool and, if left without light, eventually the temperature drops to around 60 (16 C)

Is this temperature difference in day / night cycle too great? If you measure the peak temperature. What impact will I see?

30C is a bit high, I would try to shoot for 26C max at the canopy. I try to stay between 78F-80F during lights on and 66F-70F lights off. I am not sure if 16C is too low at night, someone else will have to chime in.

Depends on your lights but unless you are using LEDs, daytime times should be about 25*C (mid 70s F) and at night about 5*C cooler (8-10*F)

If you are running LEDs, test show that temps 5*C or 9*F Higher are better.
