Sativa or indica

This was a pretty cool thread on indica vs sativa
Basically...
Indica =body high (what we refer to as being stoned) the type that makes your body heavy.
Sativa = head high that leaves you feeling buzzed

another difference is the Leaf structure whie they both look the same indica's leaves are shorter/fatter sativa's leaves are longer and slender.

It's totally different kind of buzz, man. As Shantibaba said once: "Sativa is like Champagne and indica like heavy red", go figure.

Nice post, that's a great thread to look through.

Think of Sativa as 'up', and Indica as 'down'.

Sativas are ideal for high energy, social, and creative situations during the day... Indicas are best for mellow, low energy, chill situations at nighttime.

A Sativa strain has the potential to make one very active, while an Indica could very well make someone a couch potato.

There are also Hybrids [which have different ratios of Sativa and Indica traits] which can have very unique effects that can contain the feelings of both, depending on the strain. Some will be more uplifting, while others will create a low energy situation. Certain strains will begin feeling 'up' like a Sativa, then eventually taper into the 'down' experience of Indica.

The changes in effects between strains is extremely interesting, and very beneficial depending on your mental, emotional, and physical needs. Sativas tend to be effective anti-depressants, while Indicas can be an anti-anxiety treatment. Sativas can help one to pay attention and concentrate, while Indicas can offer excellent physical relaxation and pain relief.

The Cannabis/Hemp plant really is an intensely wonderful plant with so many unique applications and benefits for all forms of life.
