Seedlings curled, seedlings under 600W HPS

I have just put my seedlings from the rootkit to 15 gallon smartpots in coco coir. I put a small amount of nutrients in the water and corrected the ph. I dont have any CFL or smaller pots so i just went with it.
The distance from the lights to the seedlings is about 64cm. I find that they stretch a lot and some of them have their leafs curled upwards, almost like if they’re burnt or dehydrated.

I Fixed the stretching by patting more coco around it to hold it up.

Should i just let them be and raise the lights even more?

I would suggest raising your light a bit or dimming if possible. I always preferred vegging under MH supposed to HPS. Seems to be less stretching but I have also done it many times with an HPS.

They look okay to me, but I can only go by your photos. What sort of power are you pushing with those lights? If its a 1000w they may be a bit close, but I can't honestly judge the distance by the photos

They are 600watt dual spectrum lights.

I wouldn't worry about seedling stretch, you can train the crap out of them, which it looks like you'll be doing anyways with the big pots you have. Good 2 month long veg coming up!

If you are uncomfortable with how things are, raise them up a little..I don't think it will hurt
