Do you determine the sex of a mj plant by switching its cycle to 12/12 and then back to 18/6, or do you just keep it at 12/12 and remove males when you seem em. Thanks:Rasta:

people are probably going to tell you to search around, but I think I can help you out.(the word "bloom" meaning showing either starting buds, or pollen sacks)
Your goal is to get the plants to start their bloom cycle, when you switch to 12/12 it triggers this, and whatever sex the plant is it will start to reveal it by blooming.
There are a few ways to do this:
1: you cover one of the lower stems on the plant with a bag for 12 hours of the day while still vegging the rest of the plant (24/7 or 18/6) that branch will start to bloom and you can determine sex.
2:you make clones of each of your plants, put them in a seperate grow chamber and start them on the 12/ 12 bloom cycle, and determine sex.
3:you wait untill you start the bloom cycle in your main grow chamber, and keep a very close eye on all of the plants, and determine sex.

1 and 2 being the safest, 3 you need to be careful and catch them early.
You don't want to put the plants in a bloom cycle then back into a veg cycle.

I hope that helps, and that my info is correct....
