Skinny stem issues

I am a new grower (medical marijuana patient) and have a decent handle on things. The main reason I'm posting thiz is to find out how much i can bury the skinnier, bottom part of the plants stalk. Don't get me wrong its strong and all (not drooping over) but everything after the first node is like double the thickness, and yes i have fans blowing some air on em for strength. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Lol this is probably one of those common sense situations, but i baby my two plants and don't need to screw up.

Use Cal-Mag and/or a Silica additive. These will help build stem walls and make your stalks stronger/thicker.

Thank you for the help!! I'm currently using fox farm nutes, heard they were good for a lower budget.
Also, can you tell me what 'week one' is on a feeding schedule? Ive heard numerous stories, I've got
5 true leaf sets right now.

Week one is either the first week that you planted and/or the first week of flower, first week on 12/12 light regimen

It will start to get thicker as time goes past. JJ right on the info he added. Also what type of lighting are you using? Certain light spectrum's will also promote thicker stock and branch growth

They thickened up on me before i got cal-mag (but i bought it anyway for future) my lighting is 1 1000w MH lamp (which is what may have thickened the stalk more for me?) Bout 2 weeks ago i was on a 2ft HO T5 fluorescent which did great for first few weeks for me. I thank you for your help!!!
