Slight yellowing of top fan leaves only - First time grower

Plants are looking great this morning Day 25 of Flower. Yellowing on fan leaves has diminished considerably with a nitrogen boost added to my worm casting tea. Buds or flowers are still producing tons of Trichs.

Temps this morning were 70F and 43% relative humidity.

Finding plants are needing watered more frequently. PH is good. Should I add nitrogen and phosphorus at each watering to encourage more density? Thinking Roots Organics Buddah Bloom. Any advice would be helpful.

We like to feed and water at night, usually when the lights are off. We have a green light we use that doesn't affect the plants.

I wanted to ask that I have green lights I use for fishing walking trails etc at night. They won't harm the plants? I wrap my tent at night to ensure no light leaks.

Let me ask nismo12 about the light specs. I don't know if any old green light will work, or if it has certain specifications so it won't be harmful to the plants. I'll get back to you. I'll also get his behind over here to help. He is a wealth of information.

We are having problems with 2 of our girls also. 1 of them is droopy. It was watered Saturday. The other is starting to yellow on the fan leaves, and the hairs are looking like they are starting to turn amber, really droopy leaves. Just watered sat. We used foxfarm week 8 for our last feeding on Sat. We didn't do anything out of the norm. Maybe these are signs from the plant to start flushing. I plan on researching today to find out what's going on. I'll keep you in the loop as to what I find. Have a good day and try not to worry about the girls too much.

You have a moisture meter for testing your soils moisture content?

I think we do, but we don't really use it. We let the plants tell us when they want water. Usually the leaves will droop and look sad. We also use a control cup to measure dry weight when we have seedlings in solo cups. That is another way to tell if it's time to water. Also, you can stick your finger in the soil carefully, so you don't break the roots. If your finger comes out clean/dry, it's time.

Can already see the difference from that watering. They are 30 minutes from lights out and look good. The smell on my fingers after touching them is sweet, bubble gum smelling.

Until tomorrow tight lines.

Good looking plants. A couple days ago we trimmed just a few hairs and a tiny bit of the buds off of most the tops. We kept a couple that we didn't cut for control, to see if what we did made a difference or not. That's called back building. It makes the buds get fatter and no taller. (They ones we have now are quite tall). The buds seem to be thickening up already. :thumb:
Also, on one of the plants I will take some more of the fan leaves off and mainly leave the smaller ones that are growing on the bud itself. We want to see if that helps with bud growth. We also have a control bud that's similar in size to the bud I will trim. Just thought I'd throw some ideas at you. I hope you don't mind. Have a wonderful day!
