Off to the races we go then.

I gave tent, fans and light a good wipe down with H202,
Same with intake and exhaust, plus ducting aswell,
If it comes apart then it gets stripped, cleaned and put back together.

We will be using:
1x Marshmellow Og (MO)
2x High society, (HS1 + HS2)
Started seeds in there own coffee cup with a little over half a cup of plain tap water with 1 squirt of H202 in each, covered with kithen roll and left 24H at around 22c.

After a 24H soak and a little tap of my finger to make them sink i made a mixture of 1L Water and 2ml CalMag,PH to 5.8 ,

Then dropped 3 Coco discs into the mixture,
They expand in a minute or so,

I then create a small hole with a pencil about 2cm deep and pop a seed in each disc,
Cover over slightly and done,

These are then placed into my propagation box and the remainder mixture is poured in aswell,

Cover with lid and place on heat mat at 23c-24c,Just a waiting game now.

2 days later and they all nearly have shot up except HS1,
I popped another HS just incase HS1 doesn't make it.

1 more day later and we are looking ok(2 and a half days from putting seeds in discs to now.

They are in there tent now and on heat mat set to 23c-24c,

There is a small humidifier inside aswell.

Light is on 1click from off and around 40inches from the top of the tallest seedling.

Temps:
Day: 25c and 83% Humidity,
Night: 21c and 80% Humidity.
*This will be Day1*

Here they are:

Day2:
Here you can see the reserve HS.
I think something is going on with HS1,Her roots seem to be growing from high up on her stem.
Lets see what happens hey.

Time to mix some medium and fill the fabric pots,
First i get my 75L block of Coco and chop just over half(about 40L worth) ,this is placed into the center of a empty large plastic tub ,
I then boil around 20L of water and pour the lot into the corner of the plastic tub,it should look like a small island surrounded by water,
It will take several minutes to soak up all the water and only half of it will be damp,
I grab what is left of the dry block and place into another large tub and repeat the process,
I give them both a good sieve, mix with a hand garden fork and end up having 2 large tubs full of Coco,
I place a fan heater over both tubs to take away some of the water.

Secondly i grab a bag of perlite and my sieve,
I boil about 10L of water and put in a bucket,
The sieve is used like a shovel to get it full of perlite,
This is moved around in sieve to get small pieces and dust off,
Then it's plunged into hot water bucket a few times then shaken vigorously to get the excess water off,
That is then placed into a large plastic tub,
I repeat this process for the whole bag of perlite and end up with a tub of clean perlite,
This gets sprayed with H202.

Thirdly i get fabric pots and fill,
I first add a thin layer of just perlite at the very bottom of a pot,
Then i get 1 of the tubs of Coco and just put 8 handfulls of perlite on the top middle and mix with fingers spread apart for a few seconds,
This is transferred into the pot with the thin layer of perlite,
I repeat this process of building layer on layer until the pot is full,
I then do it all again another 2 more times,
We now have 3 pots ready for the seedlings,
These are places into the tent to dry out some more.

Temps:
Day:
25c and 84% Humidity
Night: 20c and 79% Humidity.

Not sure whats going on with HS1,

Thank you.

Looks like you are off to a good start.

A couple of questions.

Do you have a target date, give or take, of when the plants would be put into a flowering light schedule? Or a targeted size for the plants before flowering?

And, are you planning on growing all of them together in this one tent all the way to the end of flowering?

Just asking out of curiosity. And, to show that a few of us have been following along.

Hello smoking Wings, nice to see you.

I have looked at were my Autos roughly was at when they started to turn them selves and was around Day35ish,
So i will aim for 30 odd days and around 1ft by 1ft width then switch the Light,

Yes i am keeping them in this 3ft x 3ft till they get hanged,
If HS(R) is behind at the end(most likely will be) then she will go into the 2.5ft x 2ft in her own,

And glad to have everyone and anyone on board,
I am still infront at the moment,
(current date is Day40) but i started the journal late so was boring at the start.

Thank you

HS2 has opened up nicely,
HS(R) is catching up,
MO is a chunky girl, very stiff shoots,

Decided to up the feed strength a little and volume,

Dug up HS1 to see what is going on,There is only 3 roots coming out of her Coco plug going into the Coco in pot,not sure why she wasn't able to produced more root mass but it was most probably something i did wrong,
Transplanted her to see if she recovers,

Thank you.

Hey Smokey!!

It’s time for another drive by. Wow crap your ladies are greening up nicely!!! Yup we’ve all had that one picky eater that detests everything on the menu…

case in point my PPOG plant would never sing and finally hit the wall doing 120 mph. PPOG costs me all of this drama then up and croaked on me but her 2 clone babies are doing fine in the exact same soil mix as their mom was in. It’s a real head scratcher..

I read back to your starting paragraph and went oh shit… those tiny peat discs meant for starting seeds which are dehydrated, compressed and held together by an outer membrane?? When you soak them in water they grow from 1/4 inch tall to about 2 inches tall. The membrane is thin and it’s meant for roots to grow right thru the sides… however they often hurt more than they help.

theres another style called jiffy pots which are pressed peat moss made into 4 inch transplantable / biodegradable containers. The problem is many times they slow or inhibit root growth, it’s like they don’t break down or soften up enough in time for roots to penetrate the sides…

I’ve done root autopsy on a few failed plants and found weak / non-existent rootball related to the peat pots. I’ve read of others here having issues with both styles (and imho) it’s best to cut or peel the outer layer off at the time of transplant… but if you really like the idea of using a seed starter look for brand called rapid rooters. They are soft and spongy but they do not have a membrane….

that’s all I’ve got, hope something here helps you!

peace out

Hello everybody,

Day36:

Everything is looking ok,

MO is doing great,
HS2 + HS(R) doesn't like the conditions as much,still doing ok though,

Had a mess with the Lst on them all,

Moved the odd leaf here and there,

Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 18c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Day37:

Gave them all a good trim ready for the flip in a day or 2,
I took inward facing leaves and and small bits that i didn't think will amount to much,

HS2- has a nice ball shape going on,everything is growing at the same height,
MO- her top is slightly taller than the rest of her,i could of got her the same height before i snapped her head off,
HS(R)- she is doing good but she is the most scraggly looking and with her top a few inches taller than the rest of her,she doesn't like the conditions as much as the others but she was a back up seed so was behind by a week,

Gave the tent a good wipe down inside and out,
Fans got dismantled, cleaned and put back together,

The intake and exhaust are on level3,
Set to kick in when the humidity goes under 65% and if the temp' goes over 25c,

Temps:
Day: 24c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
6L Water
7ml CalMag
4ml Each grow A+B
3ml B52
PH5.8
They all got 1.5L each,
Small RunOff them all,Not tested.

Here they are:
IMG_9871.jpeg

Day38:

They are coming along very nicely,

It seems as if i have more than enough time to mess with these photos as the growth is slower, very slow at the start but has since picked up the pace,
Still not hitting the auto growth yet,

Going to change the light sched' tomorrow to 12/12,

Upped the feed strength a little bit,
Going to half and half the grow and bloom nutes soon,

Both fans inside the tent are rotating and set to speed level 3,

They might look a little light green but i asure you it is because of the light,

Temps:
Day: 24c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
6L Water
7.5ml CalMag
4.5ml Each grow A+B

They got 2L each,
Good RunOff them all,Not tested.

Here they are:

Day39:
Bloom Day1:

Changed the light sched' to 12/12,
Not taking any leaves for a good few days now,

Not messed with Lst either,

Not much else to say about them,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 18c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
8L Water
8ml CalMag
2ml Each Grow A+B
2ml Each Bloom A+B
3ml B52

All 3 had 2L each,
Decent amount of RunOff them all,
Not tested,
The remainder 2L was bottles and put in fridge for tomorrow.

Here they are:
IMG_9875.jpeg

Day40:
Bloom Day2:

They are filling out and look good,

It's just a waiting game now for a couple of days,

HS(R) has catched up quite a lot i think,
MO side shoots has grew up to be roughly the same height all over,
HS2 has still got a nice ballish shape to her,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
The 2L i had already was put in bucket and i added-
6L Water
7.5ml CalMag
2ml Each Grow A+B
2ml Each Bloom A+B

Hello there 013,hope you're all good and well,

She is a little fuss pot but the other HS is doing roughly the same but on a much lighter scale,

I've not done any kind of cloning tbh,i like the lucky dip of a seed lol,

That is the ones i have mate but mine are Coco, unless Coco and peat are the same thing,
I don't think i watered her enough around her stem when i was feeding her so that it would make the netting/webbing easier for her roots to break through,The others are fine so was puzzling me,
My plan was to cut them slightly but there was small little roots in there so i just transplanted them into final home as they was,

Rapid rooters are stupidly expensive for me to buy and 3-4weeks delivery time,
I could get 600 of my style at the same price of 50 rapid rooters lol,

Cheers for your input,it all helps,
Thanks

Hello everyone,

Day41:
Bloom Day3:

Not touched them at all today,
Might give it a couple of days before i take a couple of leaves off them,

They are filling up day by day still,

All fans are set at speed level 3,

Intake and exhaust still kicks in when the Temp' goes above 25c (which is never) and when the Humidity level goes above 66% (pretty stable constantly) ,

Bang on Lights on I take them out 1 at a time to feed then i let them rest for 15-20min' untill there RunOff stops running/dripping then they go back in there home to have a nice (just under) 12H light,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
I had 2L left over from yesterdays feed,so to this i added-
6L Water
7.5ml CalMag
2ml Each Grow A+B
2ml Each Bloom A+B
2ml B52
PH5.9
They all got 2L each,
Good amount of RunOff them all,Not tested.
The 2L left will go in a bottle then in the fridge for me to use tomorrow.

Here they are:
IMG_9879.jpeg

Day42:
Bloom Day4:

Looking good,
There is no smell at all untill i open up there home,it is just smelling greenery at the moment,
Filters are still doing the job,

They are bushing up very nicely,
There side shoots are coming up aswell,

HS(R) still has funky leaves going on,half looks nice and green and the other half is light and taco-ing,crazy but i'm glad i planted another seed to replace the one i disposed of,
Mo is chunky,i have high hopes for her,
HS2 is massive,i think the most weight will be off her,

Raised the Light hanger rachets 5clicks,
Not measured the actual height distance between them,
Still on 2clicks power level from off,
I have up to 10clicks to play with,i think my auto's only had 4clicks max,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
The 2L i had in the fridge that was left over from yesterdays feed was added to this:
6L Water
7ml CalMag
2.5ml Each Grow A+B
2.5ml Each Bloom A+B
2.5ml B52
PH5.9
They all got 2L each,
Good amount of RunOff them all,Not tested,
The 2L left over will be stored in the fridge again for me to use tomorrow.
I do this because my main feed bucket stops letting liquid out when it becomes lower than 2L in there.

Here they are:
IMG_9881.jpeg

Day43:
Bloom Day5:

Gave them all a trim today,
I didn't take a lot,

HS(R) has open up and come alive, she is growing fast,i can see the growth more easily day by day with her,
Mo is looking good, her top isn't getting away away from her yet so all is well,
HS2 is more of a open structure,i can also see her top getting slightly taller than the rest of her,i can't bend her or any of there tops over no more than i have done so already,

Had a little mess with the Lst plus added a couple extra to them all,
Leaf tucked them aswell,

Was a cold day today, coldest day so far,at this rate i will be turning the heater on in there,

Not much else to say about them,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 19c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
I got the 2L out the fridge and added this to it:
6L Water
7ml CalMag
2.5ml Each Grow A+B
2.5ml Each Bloom A+B
2.5ml B52
PH5.9
They all got 2L each,
Decent RunOff them all,Not tested,
The 2L left will be stored again,

Here they are:
IMG_9883.jpeg

Day44:
Bloom Day6:

Removed the tower fan and replaced it with a tent pole clip on oscill' fan,

They have grew quite a few leaves from yesterday,

There shoots are coming through even more and nearly the same height as there tops,

It's looking good for photo periods i think, maybe a litte slower than i expected but it's all a learning curve this round,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 18c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
The 2L out the fridge was added to this:
6L Water
7.5ml CalMag
2.5ml Each Grow A+B
2.5ml Each Bloom A+B
3ml B52
PH5.8
They all had 2L each with good amount of RunOff them all,
Not tested,
2L will be stored again,

Here they are:
IMG_9884.jpeg

Day45:
Bloom Day7:

MO has gotten rather big and i love it,
HS(R) is nearly the same size as the others,
HS2 is slowly stretching still,

Leaf tucked them all a little,

Messed with there Lst to open them up some,

Clip on fan is set to speed level 3,the same as the rest,

Not much else for me to say about them,

Temps:
Day: 23c and 64%-66% Humidity,
Night: 18c and 65%-66% Humidity.

Feed:
I got the 2L out the fridge and added it to this:
