is soapy water a good and natural way to remove pests ......??? i have used it in my garden on tomatoes, peppers and the like.....also used on flowering annuals and perennials and it always worked. you can spray the leaves and spray around the root and soil .........i have a very small gnat problem and i have also put up fly paper??? anybody else use this method, thanks..........

Yes I have, I used with a leaf polish. Only about a drop a squeeze bottle. Many washes contain Rosemarry and coriander oil as well. Many health stores carry them. But a little goes a long way.

Yip, soapy water is indeed great in getting rid of some pests in the garden. I use this method most of the time. I normally spray the soapy water on the leaves of the plants. It indeed is very effective. But for large-sized pests, we may need to use other methods to shoo them away.

Are you indoor or outdoor? I am learning also and just noticed a gnat. There will be more I am sure. I read about dressing the top of your soil with sand. Another said diatamacious earth (spelling not sure).
