"6500k is for the VEG Spectrum. The others are "MID" spectrums or in between.
IF you use the MID-range bulbs (4100) then also use the 6500 and 2700s for a balanced spectrum."
and
"The higher the number, the more bluish the light. 4000K-7000K is mostly on the blue side of the spectrum for Vegging or GROWING"

what would an ideal VEG Spectrum be?:roorrip:

A better way of understanding this is to study a spectral analysis graph. You will find one on GSLs website (GSL is one of our sponsors). There is a range of blue that is more ideally suited to the vegg stage, as well as a range of reds for the bloom stage.

If you are using a HO T 5, you will find a variety of color bulbs for all three aspects of the light spectrum available at Aquarium Specialties.
