STEVENSVILLE, MT - Ravalli County sheriff's deputies are still investigating allegations that a Stevensville medical marijuana business operated illegally under the new state law.

On Wednesday deputies served and executed a search warrant at Banana Belt Caregivers on Stevensville Cutoff Road, just off of Highway 93.

Employees said the searchers seized their marijuana plants and forced them to close up shop.

"They came in and they stole my plants," owner Tom Patterson said.

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman said the search was the result of an investigation into an alleged illegal marijuana growing operation. Officers have made no arrests.

Court documents have yet to be filed with the Ravalli County Attorney's office.
