Tds / ec targets

Hi all,

I'm looking into getting some meters to help me control my solution better. I've read some articles on this but have not found any good resources for targets.

Which do you prefer TDS or EC meters and why?

What TDS or EC targets should I try to maintain throughout each growth step?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ooops. I forgot pH. I would say.
1. TDS
2. pH
3. Temperature

I say that in the order in which variance will cause quickness in harm and time to heal.

be vary careful when asking for tds/ec recommendations. Not only different strains but plants from the same parents sometimes require a slightly different nut mixture. There are three scales (that I know of) in which tds is measured; and it all depends on the type of pen you get as to which scale to use. I have never seen a pen that tells you which scale it uses, for me its just trial and ERROR. Sorry to make things more confusing for you.

oh yeah, in my opinion tds means nothing if the ph isnt correct.
