Four men were arrested after authorities discovered a marijuana “grow house” on Roberts Road, authorities said.

Authorities found 158 marijuana plants in the house on Thursday, as well as two fully loaded semiautomatic handguns, said John L. Molinelli, the Bergen County prosecutor.

Freicy Batista-Matos, 22, of Teaneck; Carlos Baez, 22, of the Bronx; Genny Delacruz, 25, of the Bronx; and Manuel Ortega, 25, of Brooklyn each were charged with one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, one count of maintaining a drug facility and one count of possession of a handgun while committing a drug crime, Molinelli said.

Batista-Matos allegedly rented the 5,000-square-foot house for $7,000 per month, despite having “no discernible legitimate income,” Molinelli said. Authorities began watching the house after receiving reports that it was a drug house.

On Thursday, as the four men were leaving the home, officers executed a search warrant on the house, which is located on a residential block. An “elaborate and sophisticated marijuana growth and production operation” was found in the basement, Molinelli said.

All four men were being held at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack on Friday on $100,000 bail each.
