Charles Cavanaugh presented "My Journey with Medical Marijuana," focusing on how cannabis works and what makes it useful in a medicinal way.

"They primarily create a thing called homeostasis. That means balance in your nerves and balance in your metabolism. That's the root core of the cannabis medicine. It's not intoxication," Cavanaugh said.

Cavanaugh talking about a balance of small doses gradually treating symptoms from arthritis to epilepsy.

Now he's saying he's not a doctor, simply sharing his experience with those in attendance on what it's done for him. Cavanaugh says to leave it up to the individuals' choice and go where the medical marijuana is legal.

Cavanaugh underwent two and a half years of treatment in Switzerland involving applying cannabis oil on the skin.

He says this balanced out his nervous disorder relating to hypersensitivity and tiredness.
