To neem or not to neem

Hello all! So my quandary today is about neem oil. Mainly, if I’m still in the clear to use it roughly a week before I switch them over to flower? I saw a single flying invader, (couldn’t identify, thinking nat or white fly) is it overkill to just spray as a preventative? Thanks in advance for your input

Check me on this as I'm new but I believe you are good to use neem at this stage.

Yes that's exactly what I do week before flip treat them no matter if I see any or not

Neem has a half life of about 2 days on leaves, so you can use it even into the mid bloom stage. You may have fungus gnats. Use some BT in the soil for them. If you scrape the soil, and look with a loupe, you can usually see their maggots. I use neem and BT as a preventative.
