Hello Friends and fellow Warriors of the Heart - (Not that you all aren't both!) This summer, a family from North Carolina - the Tour of Compassion - is going to ride their bikes across the entire country to call attention to the issue of ending the drug war. The father is a Medical Marijuana patient with serious brain injury. This is his second time riding across the country in an effort to legalize cannabis and end the drug war. There will be only a few stops in California and one of them is Chico on or about June 4th.
A few of us are organizing to help provide funds for the family and a welcoming for the Tour of Compassion and are wondering if there are folks out there willing to donate to the cause -
Yard Sale - A location in Chico to hold one? Stuff to donate?
Raffle - A raffle of a pair of shoes from Hand to Heart Custom Footwear and jars of the amazing Hemp-EaZe locally made salve. Buy/sell raffle tickets?
Cash/Stuff - The tour is accepting donations of funds and/or things they need as they go - gas, bike tires, food, etc. There will be a list forthcoming.
Ride-a-long - Ride your bike along with the Tour of Compassion for a minute or days??
Welcoming Party - June 4th (approximately) - a fun Chico gathering- location TBA
