Trichome Checking

This is my first grow (SSH) and I can see some trikes under a 30X loupe. I'm guessing I've got 3 or 4 weeks until I harvest, but that's just a guess and could be way off. At this point, the trichromes look clear with no mushrooming.

I've got a pocket microscope and want to pull something off of the plant to get a better look. Should I grab a small flower and/or a sugar leaf? Do the main colas mature before the rest of the plant?

Any advice on where to first look is appreciated.

If there are no mushrooming yet with SSH. Then I think your about right at 3to4 weeks. Could even be 5.


SSH can take 10 to 11 weeks from the ones I have grown in the past.

I have heard of some finishing at 9 weeks.

One good thing is it is well worth the wait.

I want to see at lest 20-30% amber mushroom heads before I flush.

I have one right now in veg and am I really looking forward to it.

I have a 30x glass but cannot see that close. I need to know how.
