Two men have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a large marijuana grow in Reedley.

Fresno County Sheriff, Margaret Mims announced on Thursday that the department has arrested 23-year-old Daniel Ambriz Florez and 22-year-old Fernando Gomez Alvarez in connection with the grow, which was discovered on Tuesday.

At the time deputies found 5,604 marijuana plants in the area of Goodfellow and Buttonwillow. Officials say that the marijuana had an estimated street value of $22,416,000.00.

Mim's says that both men were arrested on cultivation charges, after they were found by deputies entering the marijuana grow with the purpose to water it. The men have since been booked into the Fresno County Jail.

Despite the arrests deputies say that the investigation is still on-going in an attempt to identify additional suspects related to this, and other marijuana grows.
