Two Tons of Marijuana are Seized

LAREDO, Tx.- Customs and Border Protection confiscated a near two tons of marijuana, on the World Trade international bridge.

In the first case, custom agents seized 2,674 pounds of marijuana in a tractor tráiler that carried furniture and jars of clay.

According to reports, the truck arrived to a booth and was sent to secondary where canine "Eustuka" gave alert towards the back of the trailer.

After verifying with an x-ray system, 997 plastic packages were detected amongst the furniture and jars. These narcotics have a street value of 2.6 million dollars.

In the second case, federal authorities confiscated 1,256 pounds of marijuana with a street value of 1.2 million dollars.

Officials indicated that a tractor trailer arrived at the World Trade bridge and a chauffeur was sent to secondary, where an x-ray system was used for the inspection.

Customs Inspectors located a total of 54 plastic packages amongst pharmacy products that were being transported to the United States.

Authorities were unable to arrest the drivers of these trailer trucks but both cases are under investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcements.

It's alright that they found this;

1. We can support our local grower(s).

2. Yeah, they found 2 tons but it was just a distraction to get the other 8 tons through.
