Vac purging need help!

i reasently ordered a 2 stage 3cfm pump and vac chamber from extractions.com, i did a test run of the pump and chamber to make sure everything worked, but i cant seem to get the vac to -29-30hg it seems to stop at -27hg. is that enough to get to honeycomb? and if not what could my problem be?

not sure what you are talkinga bout here but 30" of HG is a true complete vacuum, as in outer-space vacuum. 29.9 is all you can hope for. I have the instrumentation to back this up. With a 6 or 7 cfm 2 stage pump it takes hours to pull something the size of a soccer ball hours to pull down.

I think 3 cfm is a little low for pumping air out I use 128 cfm I used an old computer fan for mine... I haven't had any smell. I have a design if you need an idea for a DIY build.
