Just wondering how high I should have my 600w HID light above my seedlings? It is air cooled but I don't have it hooked up yet.

I'd say no less then 14-16 inches from plant to actual bulb. Use the back of your hand to test the warmth first for about 1-2 minutes. Then keep a close eye on the plant where it gets closest to the bulb and make sue it doesnt apearr to be getting cooked. As the bulb gets older you'll be able to squeeze and inch or 2 closer

Thanks for the info... The seedlings are doing fine it just seemed alittle warm to me and I have it about 20 inches above it lol

the more ventilation the more you can move them down and would decrease stretching but if all is doing fine now and no stretching then good job! ill stay posted any pics?

Well until I get my grow tent next week I have it all set up in my laundry room... The temps stay around 70 to 75 with a fan running...No stretching yet but they are only 1 day old. I will get some pics soon and start a journal
