A former mushroom farmer from Freedom (New Hampshire) has been sentenced to five to ten years in prison for helping run a sophisticated marijuana operation at the farm.

Dianna Franke argued at trial that the pot operation was run by her husband, who also was charged, but died before trial. She said the same at sentencing, arguing she knew nothing marijuana operation that police said was so pungent it made their eyes water.

At sentencing, Superior Court Judge Peter Fauver said he was troubled by Franke's refusal to take any responsibility. Franke said tearfully that she had nothing to take responsibilty for.
