I will throw in some Veg tent update hopefully today and a Week 4 flowering pic of PC. Thanks for visiting and once again welcome!

Thanks, your Plants look Beautiful too
the colors on that black Russian is mostly off the flush it is natural coloring as opposed to color by cold temperatures

Veggie Update

Alright so as it stands in my veg tent I have 2 Pineapple Chunks (both from different seeds, 1 clone 1 seed). As of yesterday I now have 2 Cookies Kush's as well. One however is stretched and very slow to respond, I did however raise the light significantly so I believe this is man made. In the near future I plan on either culling or flowering one of each, but they will be replaced by a clone. In the past I used to cull the week's of everything including clones, but If I can get a good producer I will let them all live next batch. Lastly 2 pepper plants.

Both PC's were either root bound or stunted before transplanting to DWC, with that being said they are just expanding roots and will increase in size dramatically soon.

Cookies Kush was topped about a week ago to stop stretch, as you can see in the picture the node spacing was tight until I moved the lights up. I figure I can either train the bottom nodes to reach the top and form an even canopy or cull the bottom and work with the top 2 nodes.

Flowering Update PC and siblings

The big pc and the one to the left are around the same age as far as flowering. Which would be 3 days into week 4 out of a 12 week flowering period. If you were to include the time it took to transition from veg to flower or at least the expression of flowering than she would be on her 6th week. However in this tent we have no rush and will let her dictate the show. Her lineages diet consists of Flora Nova Bloom / Floralicious Plus / Silica Blast / Liquid Kool Bloom. For flushes both in between and final I have been using Clearex. As a side note both plants on opposite ends of the tent were cut at the same time, one however was rushed into flowering the other was allowed to veg. Its neat to see how they differ and where the energy went.

A few wide shots as well as signs of maturity with her pistils changing from white to a slight red/orange. I have been monitoring my ppm's ever since she showed signs of stress, and I'm able to maintain a slight organic fading around the plant. The purpose is to try to help her along with fertilizer but not to impart the fertilizer taste as much. She sits at around 5.9 PH and 500 to 700ppm and this is where I try to keep her.

Had an issue with my drip system clogging up so we had a little damage, nothing substantial just centered around a few branches. At least 96% of her leaf's are unaffected.

Better examples of growth and maturity

A general concept of my flowering tent, she is a little empty atm but I didnt know how big the PC mom would grow, so I played it safe. Currently I have 2 LED's, both different companies. 1 is providing overhead penetration while the other provides side penetration, and is a little closer. On the opposite side of the tent I have 2 T5's zip tied to the support posts. I plan on trying to provide as much 360 light as possible.

PC clone that was placed immediately into the flowering tent to serve as a test subject, she is frosty with trichomes reaching the tips of her fan leaves. This is probably because she doesn't have much surface area to work with. Aside from that since she is maturing faster than her mother, she has expressed a skunk/ground coffee aroma. While not pineapple I am happy to know that there is an aroma, and this strain pheno so far is a keeper. Such vigor, and root structure.

Well Its that time again where I say farewell, question comments and or concerns are always welcome even if they are negative. I hope everyone who subscribes enjoys and don't forget to vote in monthly contests. Good luck to all contestants now and in the future!

you could try tipping I think Light Addict does that on top of his lst techniques
you could check his journal I believe he recently was just talking about how he does it
so it shouldn't be to far back from the current page on his journal
super cropping supposedly helps get more nutes to the branches that have been super cropped
that may or may not help I have notice bigger buds on super cropped branches above the area that was super cropped
open up the branches a bit to let light get down better
get rid of lower small budsites that are way behind the rest of the plant
itll let the other bud sites have more energy to grow and the energy wont be wasted on buds that wont be developed at time of harvest
theres probably other things you could do also I cant think of any atm

Some updates

These are of my original PC mother she is closing out week 5 and will begin week 6 tomorrow. She has since recovered from the lower defoliation, and is putting on weight at a pleasant rate. She was about half white and half red pistils but over night new pistils formed. I've managed to dial back my formula and cull things that were not necessary at this stage of growth, to further any leaf tip burn. She is rotated every day to a new position, with some of her tops being held in place to promote even growth to the lower canopy. She has another 6 weeks until harvest so things are very promising.

This little Indica treat is Cookies Kush # 2 because the first was a dude and I'm kind of sexist :high-five:. I don't know how she will be training yet, I might just implement some LST and Fimming until sex is confirmed so there are no Hermie issues etc. I would like to her be a very easy to clone, very short, and very bushy lady. Fingers crossed.

Growth currently
DSC009688.JPG

The Veg Tent has been thinned a bit, both the PC clone and my Second PC from seed have been moved to the flowering tent. The clones in the dome are from PC Seed #2, the big one in the lowe's bucket is my only clone from PC Seed #1. The lower left pot has the first clone to root from PC Seed #2, another clone has a cluster of roots developing and the last has nothing visible.

These roots are from the clone on the left in the upper picture.

This lady was topped about 2 days ago for the first time, as a matter of fact this is the first training she will be receiving. Her growth is retarded and un uniform with half developing and the other half being stunted. If this continues to develop I will most likely either tie the higher branches down to further promote lower growth, or top the vigorous side. She is already expressing heavy pre flowering so much that it makes me thing that she has started flowering. She hasn't... unless I screwed up somewhere. The way I see it she and all of her friends have roughly 6 week to put on foliage, train, increase root mass, and clone for the next cycle.

DSC009567.JPG

The two ladies that I can find pictures for are roughly under 2 feet tall, PC from Seed #2 is bushy and resembles a mushroom top shape, almost even canopy growth with the dominate cola being super cropped to diffuse hormones. She has yet to express flowering. Her counter part the Clone from PC #1 has completed her transition taking about 2 weeks to fully enter flowering. She is growing in the shape of a rectangle, and due to being an idiot I have managed to super crop her and maintain an even canopy. I say this because Originally the plan was to LST her, so I tied her down to the handle on her bucket. The next day I went to check PH levels and opened the bucket. Despite a big pink ribbon in plain view I proceeded to separate the top from the bucket. Needless to say the ribbon wasn't the thing that gave way It was her main stem bent in half. The idiot part is I managed to do this at least 2 more times over the next couple of days. So unintentionally it all worked out, and thank god for scotch tape.

I hope everyone enjoys and GOD Bless America.

The Other PC's in flower

PC #1 Clone starts day 1 flower.

Yea she's a little over day 1 but who's counting.

DSC009797.JPG

PC #2 Still In transition has not begun stretch, is still in shock from changing time schedules as my veg and flower tent do not come on at the same time.

A little closer look at flower and trichome development on PC #1 same plant different bud sites

I would just like to demonstrate the beauty of a clone crop. Completely mature and building hormones for bigger buds. She has just recovered from being topped. I did this on a very small fledgling node site as to minimize she amount of shock, and time it takes her to seal her wound and carry on. 2 days and she was back in action, with increased root mass or length rather.

This poses a question being that I am in "DWC", could I "prune" my roots by snipping off the end thus signaling "hey! you need to branch out and look for new people because we just hit a dead end".

DSC0098210.JPG

DSC0098110.JPG

One of my original pots back in the day, now serving as a home for another. Also 1 clone out of 3 was culled due to poor root development. It was more of a cluster vs branching out.

This poses another question. I usually split the stem on my clones to expose more surface area to hormones. I get explosive roots in roughly 8 to 9 days. This time is only cut diagonally and dipped in hormones. They rooted in 6 to 7 days. All clones are similar with around 6 leaves at the time of cutting, also at least one set of nodes is cleaned and buried within the hormones and plug. Out of the two examples which is superior and why? Also if there is method you prefer please chime in.
