Argyle & Bakerstreet Strain: Gov Seed From Tweed, Hydro DWC

I too am from Canada (BC) and back on the 17th October I tried to order seeds when they flipped the web site on. No seeds to be had. I complained to the government web site and they told me they were working hard to procure seeds. I told them they have known for months if not years this legalization thing would happen and they had failed. With that I emailed the Premier of BC and told him of my complaint. Told him I knew this day was coming and have spent a lot of cash to prepare for it with lights, tent, fans, switches, nutrients, buckets, pumps for water and air. I told him he can easily refuse to respond and I would take that as an OK to procure seeds from Crop King. Guess what, No response so we got seeds. Been wondering how govt. seeds stack up. My complaint with them is no real info or even if they are feminized. Good on you for trying. Maybe one day govt. will have better offerings.

They don’t stack up in my opinion . KCS is superior bar none ! Problem with the hostile take over is too much caution . Tomato law man!
Zero direction. Labelled and sold as an INDICA KUSH and it is easily 5 ft plus tall highly resembling a sativa ( leaf structure).
I think you would be disappointed for sure !

Never trust the government lol. They r great at taking our money and giving us what they think is best for us(them). I say grow what you want. I have been operating in the shadows for many many years without their help and I ain’t about to start now. Besides if anyone one came here to check my grow I would say a friend form BC gave me a seed from tweed and here they r. Go test the genes. I am pretty sure with the level of incompetence on the governments end I I would never c them again just like my tax’s Gone lmao. Play safe everyone I am off to work to earn for the government purse again.

What a fucking week ..rant over
so .. I might end up turfing Bakerstreet and concentrating on Argyle .
Bakerstreet got a bucket change - exhibiting leaf curl, broke another main stem . Not enough light at 5 ft 2x4 tent and she an all around pain in the ass and I don’t really find the challenge rewarding when Argyle could use that light .
Switched positions so BAKERSTREET is on the LEFT now

Can you use bakerstreet for anything? Cannabutter, oil? Baking?

She’s still growing hair, no real terpenes visible ....worth the effort? .. smell is great but the fucking space she is consuming and very slim chances of her actually being worth the effort whereas if I give Argyle the space she mite reward .. what would you do? @Canuckush ?
I will probs wait until or if Argyle becomes affected but damn I really didn’t expect that plant to get that big ! ?

I don't know, all new to me, was just wondering if something can be salvaged for all that effort.
Maybe clones for the next run? Or gifts to others?
My first Durban was 4 weeks into flowering and hermied bad, I culled it, used it for my first practice trim and dry, left it for 2 weeks, tossed some in a bowl and got a real racing head high.

I hear ya on that one! She was an eye opener for me too. My girl outside is starting to form some nice buds...I was happily surprised by how good they looked.

Looking forward to seeing your pics !

Well I think the little unknown auto (soil) over baked and is a total loss but I will hang it and see if I can make a tincture or?
This season, growing goverment sold seeds was a bit of a bust . If you grow Bakerstreet I highly recommend a warehouse or green house (unrestricted height ) . I've seen a few trained plants but honestly, I think they would be best flourishing . I'll post pics of argyle and Bakerstreet later

Sorry to hear the Bakerstreet won’t fatten up for you.
Mine were amongst the last outdoors from 7 strains to flower, and are just starting to stack up. Plants ended up about 12 foot tall bushes so not really what I was expecting.

@Kanda no kidding. Trust the government to provide a stupid awkward ‘not beginner’ strain to attempt.
Frankly, I think it was strategic to discourage people .
I will enjoy the hobby for years to come, but , perhaps with some gifted seeds . ;)

I may know of someone who can hook a fellow Canuck up with some seeds

Hey there I’m glad to c your not giving up and don’t be discouraged at least by following it through until the end you can see exactly what your setup can do. As well as learning the do’s and don’t s along the way and this is all priceless info. Next time around you will be able to knock one out of the park. Can you squish that auto in your press??How has the press been working??
