Beccabud's Cactus Garden of Spiny Delight: Peruvian Torch aka Trichocereus Peruvianus

Watering+ day. Each Torch cacti got 400mL of water with 6mL of Jones Juice mixed in. Sprinkled 200mg or so of myco atop the soil in each pot and top watered with the first 100mL, then bottom watered the remaining 300mL. They are getting some knarly spines!

Wow, those are so nice looking. The ones I got are not doing nearly that well. One is doing pretty good, the others are chugging along slowly. Thinking about putting a couple in the ground.

They are in near ideal conditions in the tent, @Phytoplankton. They love the cool, bright LED light. Been running the lights 16hr/day and now 15, slowly dropping back toward 12 to see if anything interesting happens. Watering every 2 weeks or so. These are all big enough now to take cuttings, start propagating or up-potting but for lack of space. They would love some fresh, sweetened soil in low, wide 3 gallon pots.

Be interesting to see what happens as the light wanes. In the case of the Sam Pedro’s (which are related to PT’s) they tend to yellow a bit and “suck in” in winter, but I don’t know if that’s related to light period or cooler temps. I Haven't figured out flowering schedule yet, they seem to flower 3-4 times a year, all year long. Mine look like they’re getting ready to bloom soon.

Hmm, yesterday was a full Buck super-moon. It's got to be related to the 4 seasons somehow. My best guess anyway.
I think you're probably right, but I just haven't got it figured out, they bloom 3-4 times a year, but it's still kinda random, sometimes they don't bloom for 5-6 months, then bloom twice in three months, they often bloom in the dead of winter when they're relatively dormant. It's a mystery!
