I like your idea, not sure if the sensor would turn the far red on fast enough to prevent darkness gap...

Also, it seems like my photosensitive temp based fan controller sometimes sees the red light as darkness rather than light, when the plants are small the red light was hitting the sensor, but when plants got bigger they blocked a lot of red light so the sensor thought it was darkness...
 
When Temporal Photonics comes out with a pre-set inverter setup then we can all get a much better handle on the timing part of the equation..

If only led prices would start to drop..:thumb:
 
Is anyone still practicing The Martian Method?
The technology and techniques discussed in the thread are very outdated. You won't find many people using those specs lights to grow their plants when there's new full spectrum lights and diodes that's way more efficient.
 
Quantum efficiency and the Emerson effect are hardly "outdated" topics; I will go ahead and put you on the ignore list for being one of those "let me tell new people to shutup" forum trolls
