Does bump up the price but also usually have more depth which seems better for the roots.

For sure brother, would really like to go from Solo - 1 gal - 3 gal - 5 gal for the next round. Gave a little thought to going hydro but I kinda like soil as a medium, makes me feel more at home!

Few snaps of the ladies on wake up today, they've had a 36 hour dark period and are now set on 12/12 lighting. Plan on spending the afternoon getting a trellis net setup so I'll try and get another update along later!

Lollipop and last round of LST really helped even out the canopy, combined with the dark period has really helped the short girls catch up. Rather pleased with results so far .

Do you use a specific guide for lollipopping? I'm pretty sure I need to start trimming some lower branches but it being my first grow, I'm nervous about cutting anything off!

Most lights will not penetrate through more than 2-2.5 feet of canopy is what I have read. So depends on how much you want for making other stuff. Cause under that the buds seem to get fluffy.

Those suckers should go into a scrog no problem. All that LST will make it much easier.

Hey Dobe .

Taking a knife to mine the first time was a traumatic experience to say the least. All I can advise is you'll grow in confidence and soon see how rugged these plants are. Found after my second trim they bounced back rather quickly and the rate of growth was much improved after.

If you roll back to my posts from the beginning of this month you'll see what I mean . Meant that I could start training those tops to where they'd be getting the most light, instead of getting choked up by the canopy.

As for lollipop tutorials; I'm a big fan of School of Hard Nugs on YouTube, haven't posted the link as I'm unsure of rules. Also watched the grow boss's videos but the guy gets on my tits more than Ricky Gervais. Hate the completely unsubtle selling!

Took myself down to the local garden centre but decided I wasn't willing to spend $20 on a a net!

Rolled a fatty and grabbed my garden twine instead. Here's the first layer of the trellis being assembled and finished. Next step is to bring it down and start weaving branches before starting on the upper trellis tier .

Yeah was pretty brutal when it came to pulling it down but nothing snapped... I hope! Gonna grab a bite to eat and then get started on the second layer. Hopefully I'll start to see the tops peaking back up before lights out this eve!

Will be rather interesting trying to get round the tent to water later, gonna have to give some careful thought to how I'm gonna proceed. Might be time to think about installing the drip feed system!

Picked up a Clabor Oasis system for £60 last week, still need to test it but I'm pretty sure it's just not going to have the capacity to do what I need. Reviews suggest it only distributes 120ml water per pot per day .. Looks like it'll be back to the drawing board and dipping into my reserves once again!

There are lots of YouTube vids on how to make your own. Doesn't look too complicated. Grow pot cheaply is one I know for sure.

Last one for the day. Second trellis is in but needs cutting to size. Some tops already starting to turn their heads around, should be interesting to see how they work with it overnight!

Ladies on wake up today, no maintenance other than a couple of tops poked back under the net. Will do the same again later and update.
