Haight Solid State PPF-800 LED Grow light

Hello boys and girls!

This is my first posting on here so a big yellow to everyone:

Here's my question: I recently purchased the "Haight Solid State PPF-800 LED Grow light" for my cabinet grow which is 24" x 22" x 48". I can fit (3) 3 gallon containers in my grow cabinet.

I'm trying to figure out the two sets of high/low switches that are on the LED panel. The manufacturer spec sheet doesn't help much. The wholesaler where I bought the light is giving me conflicting information based on my observation.

There are 4 combinations for these two switches. For purpose of discussion let's label the first switch "A" and the second switch "B".

A + B = High, High
A + B = Low, Low
A + B = High, Low
A + B = Low , High

The manufacturer says to keep both switches on high, high. If growing in a tight space, growing new transplants or seedlings use low, low.

Here is where the confusion starts. What about high, low combinations?

According to the wholesaler he said I should see the same effect regardless which switch is set for high or low. I beg to differ. I do see a distinct color difference when choosing the following:

A + B = High, Low
A + B = Low , High

Can somebody shed some light on this? Pardon the pun

Thanks in advance!

this appears to be a dead thread, but i'm still in process of searching for this answer myself. If you've already obtained it, please do share :)

In skimming through the Haight Solid State vs. Hydro Grow LED by Setting Sun, it appears to me as if the PPF-800 was on low/low settings the entire grow. I could be wrong of course, but having a PPF-800 in a grow box tent similiar to the one in his experiment, on High/High my tent is an eye straining Reddish Pink and on Low/Low more of a Bluish White as in his experiment. I've never grown anything, of any kind, before and with the setup I put together recently, my plants are still alive and on day 10 since placing the seedlings into hydroton. They seem to be growing alright on low/low, but being a complete newb as I am, I don't know if High/High would make them grow better/faster and I cannot find the answer to this as of yet.
