A dime weighs ten bucks. Never was a weight to it, just how generous your dealer was. Same for a nickle or a lid. Lids were twenty bucks and could be two to four fingers thick in a baggie.

Vancouver, BC born and raised. Smoked my first reefer in '67. Over fourty years and still stoned, er ah, medicating. Yeah that's it! Medicating. mmmm medicate

10 cents.
Dime weighs 2.3 grams.
Nickels weigh 5 grams or 5.1 grams.
Quarters well now we're talking big money, no chump change here. But doesn't seem to weigh much 5.7 grams.

Nice to hear from our friends in Kentucky. I've never smoked poopy pot before so if you could ship some up to me here in Northern Cannabis I'd be glad to confirm the buzz-per-buck value.

Still breathing, still toking and everyday above ground is a GREAT day! :0)

Here in Houston

this is JUST reggie with your occasional sticks & stems included

Nick = $5 usually anywhere from 2 to 5 grams (really who buys these anyway????)
Dime = $10 usually anywhere from 5 to 7 grams (good enough to roll 2 maybe 3 cigarillos)
Dub = $20 usually anywhere from 7 to 12 grams (best seller!! not necessarily because of quantity but how many times a day is there a $20 bill in your wallet??)
Half = $30 usually about 14 grams give or take (used to be able to get an oz for $30-$35)
OZ = $60 going rate for a nice hefty oz
Quarter Pounder = $200 (ahhh i remember the days when these were going for $120-$140)
LB. = $600-$700 depending on quality. you want something for customers that not only smells good but tastes good and does the job. heck, you can find a pound that's good but because of the way it was packaged and shipped, say in the gas tank of a car, it might smell like vaseline, alcohol, or gasoline. those go for about $400. that shit gets you high but really, who wants to pull out a sac in front of their friends that smells like anything but weed??

now for hy-DRO

Depending on the type of strain (and sad to say but most people here don't know what kind of strain they're actually buying unless they REALLY know their shit) a gram can go for anywhere from $15-$30
What would normally be a $10 DIME for reggie is actually a $100 DIME for DRO ranging from 5 to 7 grams (very popular seeing as you can pay with a nice crisp Benjamin and if rolled into 3 maybe 4 cigarillos, or 9 maybe 10 joints is enough to keep you stoned out of your gourd for a good couple of days)
Going rate for a lb. of DRO = $4000 to $5000

In the 60s, a dime bag was an oz. $10.00
Us poor people who did'nt have scales measured a bag by fingers. One finger, $1.00

Here, a nickel weighs 1.4 grams, and cost $5 and is 1/20th of an ounce. a dime weighs 2.8 grams, and cost $10 and is 1/10th of an ounce. a quarter weighs 7 grams, and costs $20-$25 and is 1/4th of an ounce. a half is 14 grams, and cost $40-$50 and is 1/2 an ounce. a ounce is 28 grams, and cost $65-$100 and is a whole ounce. a quarter pound is 112 grams or 4 ounces, and cost $180-$250. and a half pound weighs 224 grams, and cost $340(I only know one person who sells them)

A dime weighs 14 grams. Hit your dealer with in the head with a hammer if he charges more than that.

BTW,did I tell you guys I live in the year 1974?

2.2 grams: $10 (*Dime aka Tenny Shoes)
3.5 grams: $15 (*Eighth of an Ounce)
5.0 grams: $20 (*Dub aka Twenty piece)
7.0 grams: $25 (*Quarter-Ounce aka Vick)
14.0 grams: $50 (*Half-Ounce aka Half Time)
28.0 grams: $100 (*Ounce aka Zip)
112.0 grams: $325 (*Quarter-Pound aka Cutie)
224.0 grams: $600 (* Half-Pound aka H.P.)
448.0 grams: $1175 (*Pound aka Elbow)

Back in the day (mid - late 1970's Colorado) a lid = an OZ and was $40. A dime was a $10 1/4 oz.

Atm a dime here in Colorado is $10.00 worth, a gram usually goes for $15 - $20 so.......
.5g - .66g. Almost nobody sells less than a gram. Avg. prices here are $15 - $20 for 1g , $45-$55 for 3.5g ( this is for good medicine, dunno what mids and ditchweed prices are)

Alot of people offer what they call the 4g 1/8, just a ploy to get you to buy.

Yes back in 70's... 80's A Nickel was a 1/4 oz. and dime was 1/2 oz. Now it's commonly a 5.00 bag 1/2g and 10 bag 1g. Times and terminology has changed a bit. But one thing that hasn't changed is weights and measures. 1/8 is still 3.5g's and down the line. What I found as a young man growing up in the country side as opposed to the city... was that we called a nickel a 1/4 oz while in the city it was a 5.00 bag 1/2g. So location (urban/rural) may have something to do with it as well.

yes prices are much much much higher from when I was a youngster. LOL
this partialy or mostly because the grass nowadays is ten times or more stronger then what we used to get back in the 70s, that said I can remember buying an ounce of killer hash for 40 bucks:)
