HunHash's 1st Grow Ever, Wilma Hydro Autoflower Grow Journal, 2020 Stayathome

I recommend any calmag that has a N content of 2% or less. You can safely add what the manufacturer recommends when using it with MC.

I'm not familiar with that product but my recommendation would stay the same by running the MC alone. I think you'll be surprised at the results you get. Once you understand how the MC and the color of the plant work together then you'll have a better feel of when to add any supplements, if any. However, it's good to experiment as well so I'll never say not to do anything. It's all for science :)

Some standard things that I try to follow would be the following:
-Start off in solo cups then transplant to the final home(no bigger than 5gal pots)
-Start feeding early. When you see the second set of leaves introduce 2g/Gal of Megacrop. Do not overwater. Use something small like pipettes that you can control the amount you are giving. You want to increase the MC weekly until you get to 3g/gal but you can't do that if you overwater the plant. I only give a few mLs at a time when just a seedling.
-If you decide you are going to top then oly do it if you have five good nodes of growth and you are under 21 days of the plant being above the ground. If you don't have five nodes within that window then the plant will do better without topping.

Hope that helps.
It helps greatly. Thank you for your time and patience, and of course for the good advice. After my next payday, I will order MC. The funny thing is, that the shipping will cost more than the product itself. :)

Just for a quick update, here's a picture of my girls starting to flower:

You're in good hands with Penny looking over you. He taught me a lot since I've been here and I'm still learning from him. He's a wealth of knowledge!
I realized that. I'm blessed and grateful for both of you.

They look beautiful Hun!

Thanks. I realize now that I underfed them at the beginning, but they caught up beautifully. I can't wait to see them grow bigger and bigger. They just started to flower, so I hope they will grow a bit higher, but they are my girly. I love them anyway.

They’ll be fine just be a doting mom and they’ll be good.
I do what I can.

Here is a quick update on the girls.

Stats:
PPM: 1057 (I brought it down because it was rising fast. In two days it went up from 1205 to 1455 so I thought I give them a little rest)
PH: The first measure was 6.5 so I brought it down to 5.5
RH: 50%
Air temp.: 25.6
Water temp: 24.4

Cream Mandarin XL Auto 38 days old. She has the best sent. To be honest I don't know what to expect. She has so many tops it might mean there will be only small buds, but she has plenty of time.

Gorilla Girl XL Auto 33 days old. She looks promising. I think she will give e nice yield wid nice sized buds.

20200518_220003.jpg

Bloody Skunk Auto 26 days old. She is awesome. She Grows so fast I can't believe it. She is the one who taught me the most about adding nutrients. The first two girls I was a bit overprotective, and the first two weeks or so I gave them a PPM level under 600. She proved they can take much more. So I'm sure I sacrificed a great amount of the final yield because of that, but in the next round, I'll be a bit braver. She told me when the PPM level was a little high by showing some mild nutrient burns on the tip of her leaves. I knew immediately to decrease it, and everything was nice and smooth again. I learned not to panic (I only had to realize I have a lot of towels in the house).

20200518_220009.jpg

All in all, I'm extremely happy with my little ones.

Hi Guys,

Quick update:

Yesterday I switched the feeding pump to 24/7. They were drinking so fast I thought they would like it.
They are in flower, all three of them.
I rased the light a bit because I realized the middle of the tent develops faster than the sides. Lumatek said to set the light 50cm from the plants. I was a bit mischievous and let them grow much closer (like 25-30cm). They seemed to like it, but the light didn't reach the sides of the tent as it should.

Here are some pictures.

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since my last report. Things are going OK I guess.
Stats:
PPM: 1561
PH: 6,3
RH: 61%
Air temp.: 24C
Water temp: 23.5C

It's interesting that the PPM is constantly rising, but I haven't seen any nute burns on any of the plants, so I just keep a close eye on them and let them be. They seem happy and healthy, so I only decrease the PPM level if it's starting to rise extremely quickly.

To be honest I don't really know what to do with defoliation. Earlier I took down almost all the fan leaves, but still, I see them too bushy. Should I take more leaves down? Or should I leave them be? I don't know.

The PH is constantly at the range of 6.2 - 6.5. No matter what I do it always stabilizes in this range, so I thought I'll leave it there. It's still on range.

Funny thing: Remember when I wrote that one of the seedlings died? Well, I was wrong. She struggled for weeks, and a few days ago she managed to overcome whatever she struggled with. I didn't have the heart to kill her, now I'm curious how will she perform.

Here are some pictures.

The tent:
I really like the way I managed to widen the plants with LST. The plants are about 40cm high. The main colas are in the middle where the light is the strongest.

Cream Mandarin XL Auto. 53 days old.
She has the best smell, and so many branches I just can't count them. The description at Sweet Seeds's said that she finishes at week 9. I hope it's not the case because she needs a lot more weight. She started to get frostier, but there is still a long way to go.

She looks awesome. She is sticky as flypaper and frosty like I could never imagine. Each day I see how much she grew. She will be a great yielder as well.

Bloody Skunk Auto 41 days old:
I just love her. In theory, she is an 8 weeker. She started to develop some colors, and it's already obvious that she will look gorgeous. Everywhere I looked for information about this strain I found that it's a low yielder, and I can see, that she won't compete with the other two, but I'm still impressed the way she developed (and I accidentally broke down 2 branches early on and 1 just a few days ago). If her colas will look anything like on the pictures, I don't think I will have any right to complain.

20200602_210707.jpg

And last but not least. The little survivor, Sweat Gelato Auto. 43 day old (yes, the same as the Bloody Skunk)
As I was saying earlier she had some kind of problem with the lower part of her stem right after germination. For weeks she hasn't grown a bit. Then later she started to develop her second pair of leaves, which died almost instantly. The 3rd pair on the other hand looked a bit stronger. From this point, she started to develop extra fast. What you see in the picture is about one week's development.
She started to flower immediately. I don't expect anything from her, I'm just rooting for her. She is said to bee an 8 weeker as well, so she doesn't have a lot of time.

I can attach only 10 pictures to one post. Here is the 11th. :)

Looks great Hun...

When doing a defol in flower you wait until the stretch is over, approx. 21 days. After that you try and remove and lower branches that won't make it to the canopy. You can thin the inside out a bit if you need light penetration but try and leave as many outside fans as possible.

Thanks, MrSauga. The thing is, I can't tell the fans to the sugars anymore. I'm pretty sure I took down almost all of the upper fans. I left only the skirt and the outer fans (those which don't cover anything). Still, they seem too dense for my untrained eye.
What's your opinion? Do these girls look like finishing in 10-14 days? I hope not. :)

Yes at least two weeks. They have quite a bit of bulking up to do yet. I wouldn't worry about the defol then. If the RH is manageable then you'll be fine. Try and keep it around 45-50% if you can. Any higher and without circulation then you risk the onset of mold.

Hi Guys,

I'm near the finish, but I don't know when to start flushing the girls. They still look like they need some bulking up to do, but this week we crossed the 9th-week mark.

Here are some pictures:

As you can see I burner her a bit. I let the ppm rise to 1900. It was too much for her and for the Bloody Skunk as well. The flowers are pretty but still seems a bit small. The sent is awesome. I cheated a bit and tastes some small flowers from the bottom (quick-dried). It tasted a bit harsh but it's potent. Of course, it made me a headache because of the nutrients in it I think, but I couldn't resist. :)

And of course the little survivor, the Cream Gelato Auto 55 gays old. It's unbelievable what this plant has done in the last two weeks. I haven't done anything with her. No LST no toping no nothing. I took down a few leaves to let the light shine on the bud sites, but that's it. There is no question that she needs a lot more time. I decided that I will put her into a DWC when I start flushing the others. I thought I will put her pot to a bucket with an air stone in the water and let her finish in her own pace. With this method I can flush the others while she is still flowering.

If you would like to see more pictures to help me decide than just say it and I'll go shoot some more.

Most have a ways to go so they will get denser.
So you think I should let them be for another week or so and start flushing then?

Damn. I have budrot. I couldn't bring down the RH under 70% I instantly ordered a dehumidifier when MrSauga said so, but I had to wait till today to receive it. I hope it will help.

Hi Guys,

I'm close to the end, but this is the hardest part. First I have budrot, so I'm biting my nails down to finish well. The weather changed a bit and I have my new dehumidifier, so I can keep the RH down to 50% or less. To be honest this dehumidifier is only good to get RO water. I can choose if I want the tent to be as hot as 30-35C or leave the windows open and have an RH of 45-50%. I have chosen the latter.
Please help me to find the perfect time to start the flushing.

Here are the contenders:

Cream Mandarine XL Auto, 77 days old (2 weeks more than suggested by SweetSeeds). It's yellow because of nute burn.

Cream Gelato. 65 days old.

20200624_182411.jpg

The Cream Gelato is the only one I know to need more time. All the others are an enigma for me at this point. They still look like growing but the nute takeup slowed down. They take up more and more water, but I didn't have to give them as much nutrients as before.

What do you say? Should I start flushing the first 3, or they need some more time? They still look like growing, but I'm not sure if it's just fox-tailing.

Hi Guys,

It's almost over. I flushed, cut, dried, and trimmed 3 out of 4 of the girls. The last one is the Cream Gelato Auto. She is still flowering, but she is close to the finish. I decided to start flushing today.

Guys, I can't believe the end result. I was thinking to myself if I get 250 - 300 grams altogether then I will be proud of myself. Here are the end results:
Cream Mandarine XL Auto: 133g
Gorilla Girl XL Auto: 142g
Bloody Skunk Auto: 91g
That means 366g from 3 plants under a 300-watt Lumatek Attis led light, and there is still one girl to go and she looks pretty.
20200731_213736.jpg

I'm extremely happy with these results. It's not the prettiest I have ever seen, but they taste great and they are really potent.
