Illinois - I am new and need help

My name is Stacey and I'm from Rockford, IL area. I had some major medical problems start in March 2010. I have lost my stomach and parts of my organs. Is there anyone in my area that I could talk to about the benefits of medical marijuana. I have been on all kinds of medicines and had many problems with the meds. Can you please help me?
