Welcome to my first grow journal. I have 2 Papaya's & 1 Master Kush. They have been in flower since 4/20, so almost 6 weeks. I am a little concerned with the ph because it is 6.3-6.7 going in and 7.0 coming out. Tds/ppm are now 600 going in and 1200 coming out. I am going to flush next watering. I don't know how the ppm's got that high. Anyway, enjoy the pics. and comment if you like.

Thank you, I hope you are well too. Yes, I am growing in 2/3 fox farm ocean forest and 1/3 perlite. I didn't check my run off until I started using nutes after flowering. I started light, about 250ppm and adjusted up to about 900 and when I checked my run off it was over 2000. I lowered the concentration of nutes to 600 ppm's hoping to slowly getting the ppm's down to no avail. I think I will use just ph'ed ro water today and really get the ph lower and the ppm's down.

I'm sorry I don't use soil so I may not be that helpful. I know in coco runoff should be close to input. Soil ?? From what I have read soil growers don't measure ppm,s on input. ML/ L Your girls look healthy and happy so I wouldn't go too overboard making changes.
Do you have a schedule for your nutrients? Are you following it?
Does it recommend flushing salts at any point in the cycle?
Bill

I don't follow the Advanced Nutrients schedule because I find it's too much. I agree that I shouldn't change too much too fast because they do look good. I am not growing organic so I do need to watch ph and run off. I think I will just quit worrying about this after I give them just water today and resume nutes next watering. I don't think they suggest flushing salts every now and then but I will check. But, obviously I need to this time. Thanks for asking and checking out my grow.

I think they look great ,your doing a good job.

Papaya & Master Kush cont. We are in day 47 of flower. Still having a little trouble controlling the tds/ppm's. I gave them ph 6.4 water only last feed and 700 ppm Sensibloom with 6.2 water today. The runoff is still high, 1400 ppm's with a ph of 6.9 But since they appear to be doing well, I won't worry too much about it. As I said in the last post, papayas on the right and master kush on the left. 3 gal. fabric pots, 300 watt led. Thanks for looking and any comment would be welcome.

Looking good.
Only thing I noticed they are on the floor.
Is it wood underneath? Concrete is cold.
How do you catch runoff?
Bill

It is a wood floor but you are right, it would be better if they were off the ground. I will look for something.

I don't catch the run off, I sop up the water with a wash cloth and ring it out in a bucket. Not good?

Hey I'm Jon, just catching up. Nice plants. Great looking buds. Excellent work, man. As far as runoff, when it comes to flushing that's when there's the most. The trays and tray elevators won't hold all the runoff then, and often don't during regular watering either. I keep a shop vac in my grow room, a small one, and I hose out the water as I water. Even the runoff in the tray the plant sits in, cuz I don't want that extra runoff water creating extra humidity in the tent. Great job. Can't wait to see how fat those buds get! Can you say what you are using for a light?

Thanks for the kind words. A small shop vac is a good idea, I think I will get one. As far as light goes, I use a 300 watt led by Grow Light Science. It has a quantum board with samsung leds and a meanwell driver.(I hear these are good) For veg I use a 100 watt hlg led.

Nice, thanks for the response. I have smoked that Papaya strain down here from the dispensaries several times. It tends to be very high in THC. A couple times I got it at 34%, no joke! What seed company did you use for the seeds (if you're allowed to mention)? And have you grown Papaya before? I'm asking cuz it's on my list of future grows. Sorry for all the questions. You'll see. That's just how I am. Lol.

That Papaya comes from Nirvana and I did grow it once before. It is very strong but not the best producer as you can see the master kush on the left is much bigger. All three plants are photo periods. The Papayas are very easy to grow and they look and smell delicious. Thanks.
